Returning to the essentials of a classic safari
Porini Camp
Located along the sandy banks of the Beho Beho River, deep in the heart of Nyerere National Park, Porini Camp offers an authentic safari experience rooted in the traditions of early exploration.
Designed as a classic safari camp, Porini blends the raw adventure of a fly camp with the comfort of a tented expedition camp. It captures the essence of the old-school explorer safari — simple, intimate, and deeply connected to the surrounding wilderness.
Here, there are no distractions — only the sounds of the bush, the glow of lantern light, and the rhythm of nature. Days are spent tracking wildlife across vast landscapes, while evenings unfold beneath star-filled skies, evoking the romance of Africa’s golden age of exploration.
Porini Camp is not just a place to stay — it is a return to the origins of safari.

Exclusively available for private use, accommodating up to 6 guests.

Authentic fly-camp-style sleeping tents, supported by additional tents for your personal belongings, and a beautifully arranged mess tent for dining and relaxation.

Private canvas bathrooms equipped with classic bucket showers, offering warm water and an authentic safari experience.

Fine gourmet dining under the stars and butler service.

Cell phone network is available, and the camp is powered entirely by 100% solar energy.

We welcome children aged 9 and above. Please note that, as the camp is situated in an unfenced wilderness area where wildlife roams freely, parents are responsible for supervision at all times.
